The Augilar family resides in a little village outside of Oaxaca City Mexico called Ocotlan de Morelos. The whole family is involved in the production of the pieces, some paint, some mold clay, some go get clay from the families own clay bearing land. For Josefina and her daughter Leti, her son Demetrio, and her husband Jose Garcia Cruz, figural ceramics are their lives, and they have created an amazing array of incredible people and creatures over the years in their little home and workshop in Ocotlan.
